VITA means life, which you might have known because it is part of a famous movie title and often-used phrase:

LA DOLCE VITA

la dolce vita

the sweet life

Which refers to a life filled with indulgent pleasures and comforts.

You can also say:

la bella vita

the good life

(literally the beautiful life)

fare la bella vita

 to live the good life

Questi sì che fanno la bella vita!:

These guys really are living the good life!:

Pronunciation Note:

When American English speakers say the word vita they have a tendency to pronounce the "T" as more of a "D" sound (because t -> d in between vowels is a common pronunciation rule in American English) In Italian, however,  the "T" should very clearly be a T!

N.006 CASA in ITALIAN: The most-used nouns digital magazine

"Casa" is the general term for any dwelling and can be translated as house or home depending on the context.  A lot of people live in apartments in Italy, and those too can be referred to as casa*.  

You'll often hear it in the following…

a casa

at home

casa mia

my house

sotto casa

on the street in front of one's house 

(especially if it's an apartment building)

*If you want to refer specifically to the stand-alone structure that we would call a "house" you can use the term villa (which we also use in English) especially if it is surrounded by a bit of land.

Uomo is the third most-used noun.  It means "man" which can refer to a literal adult male, or to "man" as in "mankind" or human beings in general.

It starts with a vowel, so to say "the man" you use " l' "

l'  + uomo = l'uomo

It is irregular in the plural, "men" is:

uomini

Again, because it starts with a vowel, to say "the men", you use "gli":

gli + uomini = gli uomini

In context:

L'UOMO is the aptly named Vogue magazine dedicated to men.
